Daniel Ackerman

Creative Director

Biography

Daniel Ackerman serves as the Creative Director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD). He is responsible for the visual communications of FDD’s brand through the production of digital and print products that advance the institution’s strategic objectives. Daniel’s work supports research and education campaigns by translating complex topics into understandable and user-friendly content across various media.

With Daniel’s contributions, FDD’s creative work has been recognized for numerous awards for illustration, editorial, and identity design. Daniel illustrated the book cover of Jonathan Schanzer’s Gaza Conflict 2021: Hamas, Israel and Eleven Days of War.

Previously, Daniel worked as a project manager and visual designer for Sagetopia design studio, building identity systems for government, technology, and nonprofit institutions. Daniel also interned in the advertising department of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, located in Washington DC. As an undergrad, Daniel was a senior graphic designer for Florida State University’s (FSU) Oglesby Union Marketing and Communications Office.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from FSU.
